Alleged Assault: Court grants 3 Lagos Assembly staff bail

The three staff members of the Lagos State House of Assembly who were arraigned before the Federal High Court in Lagos, for alleged assault on the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have been granted bail.
The affected staff members include Ibrahim Olanrewaju Abdulkareem, a photographer, as well as Adetu Adekunle Samsudeen and Adetola Oluwatosin Fatimoh, both attached to the Assembly’s Sergeant-at-Arms.
The Chairman of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Mr. Tunde Ogunlana, who confirmed it, said “Be informed that the court has granted our colleagues bail, and the case with the DSS has been adjourned till June. I will update you as I get more details.”
Justice Daniel Osiagor set bail at N3 million each, requiring a Level 12 civil servant as surety. The DSS did not oppose the bail application, and the defendants were represented by a lawyer from Femi Falana’s chambers.
