The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has condemned the reported killing of a party member, Khalid Adeyemo, popularly known as Paul Moor, and pledged support for his pregnant widow and other family members.

Alli described the death as painful and unacceptable during a condolence visit to the bereaved family in Ward 06, Ibadan South-West Local Government Area, on Monday. He was accompanied by other party leaders.

Moor was reportedly killed last Friday in an incident allegedly involving hoodlums associated with the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). The circumstances surrounding the killing remain unclear, as the report did not provide details of any arrests or the status of the police investigation.

During the visit, Alli described the deceased as a young man whose life held great promise. He called on security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend the suspected perpetrators and ensure that anyone found responsible was brought to justice.

The senator also stressed the need for a thorough investigation, urging the authorities to establish the circumstances surrounding the killing. He said the bereaved family deserved justice and called for appropriate action against anyone found culpable.

As part of his intervention, Alli provided financial assistance to Moor’s pregnant wife and mother. He also pledged continued support for the widow, particularly to ensure she received adequate care and assistance after childbirth.

The gesture was aimed at providing relief to the family as it copes with the loss. However, the amount of financial assistance provided and the details of the additional support promised were not disclosed.

Also present during the visit, the Oyo State APC Chairman, Chief Moses Adeyemo, urged the family to draw strength from their faith during the difficult period. He prayed for comfort and strength for the bereaved relatives, describing the death as an irreparable loss.
