Amina Bello hails husband’s historic participation in APC presidential contest
Wife of Kogi State Governor Amina Bello ha hailed her husband for his performance at the recently concluded All Progressives Congress presidential primaries.
In a statement she released on Thursday, the Kogi first lady said he husband showed his unwavering love for Nigeria by contesting despite opposition.
She also congratulated the winner and presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“Congratulations Andisa Obanyi, HE, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for running an impactful race. You remain a winner for daring where others could not and for contesting against all odds. You remained resolute because of your unwavering love for our dear country, Nigeria.
“The tremendous strength and tenacity of purpose you exuded is inspiring especially being the first person from our geopolitical zone to run for the office of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in a ruling party. You have written your name in GOLD and history will be kind to you.
“Like your nickname ‘the white lion’ portrays, you are a rare breed who keeps breaking new frontiers and raising the bar. I know mama of blessed memory will be so proud of you as I am equally super proud of you. You are an inspiration to me and indeed to many youths.
“I want to use this medium to appreciate the hardwork put in by the #Hope2023 team, you all showed a high sense of purpose and dedication. Not only did you exude the #nottooyoungtorun mantra, you all lived and believed it. My husband and I are grateful.
