Amotekun Corps arrests two pick pockets at Osun APC rally

The Western Security Network codenamed Amotekun has arrested two persons accused of being pickpockets during the All Progressives Congress (APC) mega rally on Tuesday.
The duo, whose identities were given as Tope Jaiye from Ondo State and Musibau Isiaka from Ibadan in Oyo State have allegedly confessed to the crime.
The suspects said they have been in the act for many years and have also been arrested by the police on many occasions and get bail.
Field Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Comrade Amitolu Shittu who confirmed the arrest said that the suspects were arrested after they were caught in the act at the APC mega rally at Osogbo township stadium.


“We arrested two notorious criminals who specializes in pickpocketing money and cell phones of personalities and dignitaries at the program.
“But nemesis caught up with them after perpetrating the act and our intelligent officers who are on surveillance at the rally caught them and arrested them.
“This happens usually when people are rushing trying to get into the venue of programs, especially in a program like this,” he said.
Shittu also disclosed that one Idowu Balogun was arrested at Ifon-Orolu last Wednesday during the APC campaign rally by the corps after stealing two cell phones.
