The Osun Amotekun Corps has warned against any planned cult or secret society activities slated for Monday, July 7, 2025, in the state.

The Corps Commander, Chief Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, in a statement made available to newsmen by the spokesperson of the corps, Yusuf Idowu, said intelligence reports have indicated that certain groups may be planning clandestine meetings or illegal gatherings on the symbolic date.

Omoyele warned that the government, through its security architecture, would not condone any form of disturbance under the guise of cultural or secret celebrations.

He stressed that Osun Amotekun is fully prepared to counter any threats to the state’s peace and stability.

The Corps Commander maintained that any group or person involved in cult-related activities would face the full force of the law.

“Osun State is a land of peace, and we will not allow any elements to disrupt the harmony we have worked so hard to build.”

He urged residents of the state to go about their daily activities without fear, reassuring the public that the Amotekun Corps, in collaboration with other security agencies, is fully mobilized and strategically deployed across the state to respond swiftly to any signs of unrest.

Omoyele also encouraged citizens to remain vigilant and to promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest security post, reaffirming the Corps’ dedication to preserving law and order in Osun State.
