Funke Akindele over the moon as ‘Omo Ghetto’ bags nine nominations at AMVCA

Nigerian Actress, Funke Akindele-Bello is in a very expansive mood currently as her film ‘Omo Ghetto’ picks nine nominations in Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA).

On Saturday, March 19, the list of nominees for the 8th AMVCA was announced by the show’s hosts, Adesua Etomi-Wellington and Daniel Etim Effiong.

Funke Akindele, JJC Skillz’s ‘Omo Ghetto: The Saga’, released in 2020 got nine nominations followed immediately by Izu Ojukwu’s historical drama ‘Amina’, which snagged the highest nominated film, with 12 nominations in major categories.

Following the announcement, the 45-year-old award-winning movie star wore her dancing shoes and showed off some ‘Ghetto-some’ moves to express her excitement and gratitude to organisers of the award.
