The management, staff and pupils of Anglican Grammar School, Iju-Itaogbolu, Akure North, Ondo State, have paid tribute to the late elder statesman, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, describing him as a disciplined leader whose contributions to education and human development would endure for generations.

The school’s principal, Ogunlana Williams, made the remarks during a condolence visit to Fasoranti’s family, accompanied by pupils and members of the school’s administrative team.

Williams described the late statesman as the school’s founding father and pioneer principal, noting that his commitment to education had helped shape the lives of many people who later distinguished themselves in various professions.

He said Fasoranti’s influence extended beyond the classroom, adding that the late elder statesman had mentored and inspired people who became doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers, pastors and political leaders.

“Baba is a builder. He has built so many people: doctors, lawyers, engineers, potential teachers, pastors and members of the political class,” the principal said.

Williams explained that although he did not have the opportunity to meet Fasoranti personally, accounts from previous school leaders and the institution’s enduring values had helped him understand the deceased’s contributions to society.

He added that the school community regarded itself as part of Fasoranti’s extended family because of his foundational role in establishing the institution and promoting discipline, leadership and service to humanity.

The principal pledged that the school would continue to preserve and promote the late statesman’s ideals, describing his legacy as a guiding principle for teachers and pupils in nurturing responsible leaders for future generations.
