The Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Muhammad Abiodun Fadeyi, has joined other bigwigs, including the Majority Leader of the Assembly, Sanjo Adedoyin, in resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party over ongoing internal crises.
Fadeyi, who represents Ona Ara State Constituency, announced his resignation in a letter addressed to the PDP chairman in Ward 8, Ona Ara LGA.
In the letter, the lawmaker requested that the party completely remove his records and information from its register and official website.
According to him, the decision to leave the PDP was influenced by the lingering internal disputes within the party and his desire to pursue his political ambition on another platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Fadeyi ended his remarks by expressing appreciation to the PDP for the opportunities he enjoyed during his time with the party.
