Another resignation hits Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration in Ondo

Hon. Barr. Fola Olasehinde-Vicente has stepped down as Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters to Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, marking another exit from the governor’s administration.

Her resignation comes barely three weeks after two other aides of Governor Aiyedatiwa left their appointments, continuing a recent trend of staff departures within his team, Western Post reports.

In a letter dated February 27, 2026, and addressed to the governor, Olasehinde-Vicente stated that her resignation takes immediate effect. “I write to formally tender my resignation as Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters, effective today,” she wrote.

She expressed gratitude to the governor for the opportunity to serve, noting that her role allowed her to positively impact the welfare of Ondo indigenes living abroad.

Highlighting her political background as the first elected female member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olasehinde-Vicente reaffirmed her loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC). “I remain committed to our great party, the APC, and will continue to serve as a loyal and dedicated member,” she added.

The former SSA explained that her decision was carefully considered and that she intends to focus on the next stage of her political and professional journey.

Her resignation adds to a growing wave of exits from Governor Aiyedatiwa’s team, signalling possible changes and reshuffles within the administration.
