APC celebrates founding National Chairman, Bisi Akande, at 85
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated its founding leader and former interim National Chairman, Chief Adebisi Akande, on his 85th birthday.
In a press statement issued on Monday, the APC described Chief Akande as a “founding visionary, former Governor of Osun State, patriot, elderstatesman, veteran grassroots politician, administrator par excellence, and an icon of political progressivism”.
The statement, signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the party owed a debt of gratitude to Chief Akande for his role in the formation of the APC and its historic victory in the 2015 general elections.
The statement added, “As a father figure, a unifier and strident voice of reason, Chief Akande remains a stable and selfless promoter of peace and reconciliation among leaders and members of our great Party.”
The APC prayed for God’s blessings, long life, excellent health and divine wisdom for Chief Akande as he continues to serve the party and the country.
