APC chieftain urges Tinubu to tackle kidnapping surge

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has urged President Bola Tinubu to take immediate action to address the recent surge in kidnapping and other security challenges confronting Nigeria.

Speaking in Osogbo on Sunday, Oyintiloye emphasized that the gains made by security agencies under the current administration should not be allowed to slide. He noted that the recent upsurge in kidnapping across the country has become a source of concern to Nigerians.

Oyintiloye, a member of the defunct APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), commended the President and security agencies for their efforts in combating insecurity but maintained that the recent wave of kidnapping requires urgent attention.

The APC chieftain advocated for stronger inter-agency collaboration to tackle security challenges, stressing that citizens’ cooperation is crucial in providing useful information to security agencies.

He urged citizens to always provide information that could help security agencies curb the activities of criminals.

According to him, “There is no doubt that the President is doing everything humanly possible to tackle insecurity in the country, but the collaboration of citizens is also important. The recent upsurge in kidnapping is a serious concern to Nigerians. This ugly trend underscores the need for urgent action by the President and security agencies to fight back with full force for the peace and stability of the country.”

Oyintiloye also called for swift prosecution and legal action against the perpetrators of what he described as a “devilish” act.

He, however, commended the President for his unwavering support for national security, progress, and economic stability.
