APC directs strict compliance as Ogun LG Congress holds across 20 Councils

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogun State chapter, has directed that its local government congress scheduled for today (Saturday) must commence at 12 noon.
The directive was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the party’s Publicity Secretary in the state, Femi Nuberu.
According to the party, the instruction must be strictly observed to ensure proper coordination, uniformity and transparency in the conduct of the congress across all local government areas.
Nuberu stated: “As we proceed to the Local Government Congress scheduled to hold today, February 21, 2026, the party leadership hereby directs that no local government should commence the exercise earlier than 12:00 noon.
“This directive must be strictly adhered to by all concerned, as it is aimed at ensuring proper coordination, uniformity and transparency in the conduct of the congress across all local government areas. Party officials, electoral officers, aspirants and members are therefore urged to comply fully with this directive and continue to uphold the peace, order and discipline that define our great party.
“Our party remains committed to internal democracy, fairness and credible processes, and we are confident that today’s exercise will further strengthen the unity and structure of our party.”
The party also commended its members, leaders and key stakeholders across the state for their exemplary conduct, which it said led to the peaceful and successful ward congress held on Wednesday.
It added that the calm atmosphere recorded during the exercise reflected the maturity, unity of purpose and unwavering loyalty of members to the ideals and leadership of the party.
“We deeply appreciate the spirit of sportsmanship, cooperation and respect for due process displayed throughout the exercise,” the statement added.
