APC e-registration set to hit 9 million members, says national secretary

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence that its ongoing digital membership registration exercise will surpass nine million members within the first two weeks.

Speaking on behalf of the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, during a press briefing on Monday, National Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru disclosed that over two million Nigerians had already completed registration within the first week.

Basiru highlighted the importance of accurate membership data for strengthening the party’s operations, saying, “We are happy to inform Nigerians that just a week into the exercise, those who have registered as members of the APC are already over two million. We envisage that by the time we make another assessment next week, we should have eight to nine million registered members.”

He further warned that any state found lagging in the registration process could have its coordinator replaced by the National Working Committee to ensure the exercise stays on track.

The APC launched the e-registration initiative to streamline membership processes and strengthen party structures ahead of upcoming political activities.
