APC Eti-Osa Constituency 1 stakeholders demand Adams’ return, reject candidate imposition

Some All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Eti-Osa Constituency I, Lagos State, have urged the party leadership to restore its ticket to Noheem Adams, whom they claimed won the May 20, 2026 primary.

At a press conference in Lagos, they said Adams polled 7,638 votes against his opponent’s 1,225, describing the result as a clear mandate from party members.

Speaking for the group, Eti-Osa Apex Leader Jacob Jegede said the demand was based on fairness, internal democracy and the need to strengthen the APC’s chances in the election.

The stakeholders appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda and Lagos APC Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi to uphold the primary result and consider the recommendations of the Reconciliation Committee.

They warned that imposing a candidate without grassroots support could hurt the party at the polls, urging the leadership to engage local stakeholders and resolve the dispute through dialogue.

The group reaffirmed its loyalty to the APC and called on members to remain calm, avoid violence and allow legitimate party channels to address the disagreement.
