The Legal Sub-Committee of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council has begun preparations for the 2027 presidential election, pledging to work towards President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.

The committee, chaired by the Ondo State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, held its inaugural meeting to discuss strategies for strengthening the party’s chances at the polls.

Ajulo expressed confidence in the committee’s composition, saying its members had the legal expertise, political experience and grassroots mobilisation skills required to achieve their objectives.

He said a major priority would be to reconcile aggrieved APC members across Ondo State’s 18 local government areas to promote unity and prevent internal disagreements from weakening the party’s electoral prospects.

The committee also plans to train party agents on electoral laws and procedures. In addition, it intends to mobilise lawyers across local government areas and wards to serve as election monitors and observers.

Ajulo said the committee would also conduct voter education on lawful electoral practices and provide timely legal advice and support on campaign-related matters, including issues that might arise before and after the election.

He urged members to remain committed to their responsibilities and make the necessary sacrifices, stressing that electoral success would depend on adequate preparation and vigilance, beyond the votes cast on election day.

Other committee members, including Chief Olajide Ajana, Olorogun Sola Ajisafe, Banjo Ayenakin, Segun Ajimotokin, Femi Omosuwa, Segun Odidi, Sesan Oriola, Henry Akingbesote and Olutayo Babalayo, pledged their support for Tinubu and the APC ahead of the 2027 election.
