APC members alone can re-elect Tinubu in 2027 — Uzodimma

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will secure re-election in 2027, insisting that support from members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) alone would be enough to guarantee victory.

Speaking on Saturday during the APC presidential primary in Orlu East Local Government Area of Imo State, Uzodimma pointed to the large turnout of party supporters as evidence of Tinubu’s growing popularity ahead of the next general election.

According to the governor, more than 35,000 people attended the exercise in a single ward, describing the turnout as a clear indication of the party’s strength at the grassroots level.

“You can see 35,000 human beings in just one ward in Orlu East Local Government. It means that if only our party members vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he has already won the election,” Uzodimma said.

The governor praised the APC’s membership registration process, noting that the electronic registration and validation system had enhanced inclusiveness and strengthened grassroots participation in the party.

He added that the enthusiasm shown by party members reflected public satisfaction with Tinubu’s leadership and governance style.

Uzodimma maintained that the president had performed well enough to deserve a second term in office, while urging opposition parties to strengthen their structures and emulate the APC’s organisational achievements.

He further stated that Nigerians were excited about the direction of the country’s politics under the APC-led administration and congratulated the president for “doing politics the way it should be done.”
