APC NWC confirms Adamu, Omisore’s resignation

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed the resignation of the party’s National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu and National Secretary Iyiola Omisore.

The NWC also confirmed that the Deputy National Chairman Abubakar Kyari had taken over as acting national chairman, while Festus Fuanter who was deputy national secretary is now the new acting national secretary.

“The Deputy National Chairman (North), Sen. Abubakar Kyari & Deputy National Secretary, Barr. Festus Fuanter on Monday assumed office as acting National Chairman & acting National Secretary respectively following the resignation of Sen. Abdullahi Adamu & Sen. Iyiola Omisore,” the APC tweeted via its official Twitter handle on Monday.

The party also announced the postponement of the National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings slated for Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

According to Kyari who addressed the press, a new date will be communicated to the public.
