APC reshuffles convention committee, appoints Masari as chairman
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has overhauled the leadership and composition of its 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee, naming former Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, as chairman.
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, who was earlier announced as head of the committee, has been reassigned to the position of treasurer under the new arrangement.
The ruling party also increased the size of the committee from 73 to 90 members in a move aimed at broadening participation and accommodating additional stakeholders. Among the newly included members is Senator Barry Mpigi, alongside other prominent party figures.
According to the APC, the reconstitution reflects zoning considerations and strategic requirements connected to the successful organisation of the 2026 national convention.
