APC schedules Osun governorship primary for December, pegs forms at ₦50m

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed Saturday, December 13, 2025, for its governorship primary election in Osun State, with aspirants expected to pay ₦50 million for the expression of interest and nomination forms.
The schedule of activities was signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, and posted on the APC’s official X handle on Tuesday.
According to the timetable, the process will begin with the notice of election to the state chapter on Friday, October 3, 2025, while the update of the membership register will run from Monday, October 20, to Friday, October 31, 2025.
The sale of forms will take place from Wednesday, November 12, to Wednesday, November 26, 2025, while the submission of completed forms, including delegate forms, has been fixed for Monday, December 1, 2025. Screening of aspirants will hold on December 3 and 4, with the publication of results scheduled for December 5.
Appeals on the screening exercise will hold on December 6 and 7, while the delegate congress and congress appeal are slated for December 9 and 10, respectively. The appeal on the governorship primary will take place on Sunday, December 14, 2025, alongside ratification of results by the National Congress.
The party stated that female aspirants and persons with disabilities will only pay for the ₦10 million expression of interest form, while youths between the ages of 25 and 40 will purchase the expression form and get a 50 percent discount on the ₦40 million nomination form.
APC further disclosed that the final list of its candidate must be uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal by Wednesday, February 11, 2026, while campaigns are scheduled to commence on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
The campaigns are expected to end on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
