APC welcomes Governor Peter Mbah, Enugu stakeholders to party

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally welcomed the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, along with other political leaders and stakeholders from the state, into the party.
In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka (CON), the APC commended Governor Mbah for his courageous decision to join Nigeria’s ruling progressive party. The statement described the move as a significant step that will strengthen development and good governance in Enugu State.
According to the party, Governor Mbah’s defection to the APC reflects a strategic alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and positions Enugu State as a key partner and beneficiary of the ongoing national economic transformation.
The APC also praised Mbah’s leadership and record of innovation, noting his recent recognition at the 2025 Presidential GovTech Awards for technology-driven public service delivery.
The party assured the governor and his supporters of full support, accommodation, and seamless integration into the APC family, emphasizing its readiness to work with them for the progress and prosperity of Enugu State and the South-East region.
