APC will leave no one behind ahead of national convention — Yilwatda

By Kunle Sanni –

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive leadership, saying the party will ensure that no member is left behind amid its rapid expansion.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu and other party leaders at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Yilwatda said the APC is experiencing unprecedented growth marked by the entry of new members and governors nationwide.

“I want to carry everybody along in the party. We have new members and new governors. The party is expanding every day; we are growing beyond bounds,” he said.

According to the chairman, the party’s leadership is determined to ensure that this growth does not sideline any stakeholder at either the national or sub-national levels.

“I want to ensure that in the course of this growth, nobody is left behind,” Yilwatda stressed.

He explained that the meeting was convened to review preparations for the party’s upcoming convention and congresses, as well as to strengthen coordination among all arms of government.

“It was a brief meeting to review preparations for the convention and the congresses, as well as the synergy between all arms of government, so that we can be on the same page — the sub-national, the national, the National Assembly, and the party,” he said.

Yilwatda noted that the meeting achieved its objectives, particularly in harmonising timelines, planning activities and assessing the political environment to ensure inclusivity across all levels of the party.
