Asake reaches out to ailing father after viral video

Three days after a viral video surfaced on social media showing the deteriorating health of Fatai Odunsi, also known as Malo, his son, Ahmed Ololade Odunsi, popularly known as Asake, has reached out.
According to Sheriffdeen Ojon Olorunfemi, a resident of Mr. Odunsi’s area who shared an update on Facebook, Asake has admitted his past shortcomings and promised to ensure his father receives proper medical care.
The statement further noted that arrangements have been made for Mr. Odunsi to be taken to Lekki Hospital next week, with Asake committing to doing whatever is necessary for his father’s recovery.
Asake was also quoted as assuring his father of long-term support and additional benefits to improve his well-being.
On Sunday morning, March 16, the singer reportedly called again to reaffirm his commitment to covering his father’s medical expenses and arranging hospital treatment within the week.
He also pledged to take responsibility for his father’s personal expenses, including rent and other financial needs.
