Asake silent as man claiming to be his ailing father seeks help

Afrobeats singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has remained silent following the circulation of a viral video featuring a man who claims to be his father.

In the video, an ailing man identified as Fatai Odunsi, also known as Malo, appeals for financial assistance, stating that he has been battling a partial stroke.

Odunsi, whose plea has been widely shared on social media, alleged that Asake has neglected him since his illness began in March 2022.

“The last time I saw him was in March 2022 when my sickness started. If I call Asake, he won’t pick up,” Odunsi lamented.

Calling on Nigerians for help with his medical treatment, he added, “Good day everyone, I am the father of Ahmed Asake, the singer. Please help me, I need your support.”

As of the time of this report, Asake has yet to respond to the allegations.
