Atiku Abubakar hails Tinubu’s victory as APC presidential candidate
Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has congratulated Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for picking the All Progressives Congress presidential ticket.
Atiku’s congratulations came via a tweet on Wednesday.
The former vice president said Tinubu’s victory showed his tenacity.
“Congratulations, @officialABAT, on your emergence as your party’s presidential candidate. It has been a hard-fought contest, but that you prevailed confirms your tenacity. -AA,” Atiku tweeted.
Tinubu polled 1271 votes to emerge victorious, way ahead of his closest challenger, Rotimi Amaechi, who had 316 votes. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo came third with 235 votes.
