Atiku hails Okowa over conferment of National Honour

Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar hailed the conferment of national honour on his running mate and Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa.

Atiku who congratulated Okowa on his social media, said the national honour showed he made the right choice by picking the Delta State governor as his running mate.

Okowa was conferred with the Commander of the Federal Republic.

Atiku wrote: “Today’s conferment of the National Honour on Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa by President Muhammadu Buhari is a testimonial that I made the right decision in tapping an achiever as my Vice Presidential candidate for the 2023 election. On behalf of my family, our team and our supporters, I say congratulations! -AA”

There had been crisis in the PDP after Atiku shunned Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike to pick Okowa as his running mate.

Speaking on his choice, Atiku had insisted Okowa was the best man for the job, which made him pick him.
