Bamigbetan joins Oshodi-Isolo II reps race, supports 100 students with JAMB forms

Kehinde Bamigbetan, a leading aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency II on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has formally declared his intention to contest in the forthcoming party primaries, affirming his loyalty to the party and commitment to grassroots development.
Bamigbetan made the declaration in Ejigbo while presenting JAMB forms to 100 beneficiaries, describing the gesture as a preview of the education-focused representation he intends to offer if elected.
“As our great party consolidates on the Renewed Hope Agenda, I present myself as the most prepared and loyal aspirant to secure Oshodi-Isolo II for the APC,” he said, adding that the initiative reflects his commitment to education and youth empowerment.
He recalled stepping down from previous contests in 2015 and 2023 in deference to party directives, saying he sacrificed his ambition for unity and allowed incumbents to complete their second terms.
According to him, loyalty, discipline and sacrifice remain the pillars of party strength, expressing confidence that these qualities would be considered during the primaries.
Bamigbetan highlighted his public service record, including serving as Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA (2008–2014), Chief Press Secretary to the Governor (2005–2007), Commissioner for Information and Strategy (2018–2019), Special Assistant to Senator Segun Baju (1992–1993), and currently as Special Adviser to the Minister of Solid Minerals Development.
He said his experience at both state and federal levels has equipped him with a deep understanding of governance and the workings of the National Assembly, pledging to advance the President’s agenda while protecting the interests of Oshodi-Isolo II.
Unveiling a 10-point agenda, Bamigbetan promised to remit 30 per cent of his monthly salary to party structures, provide grants to community groups, support traders and artisans, attract constituency projects, promote entrepreneurship and maintain transparency through regular briefings, while seeking the backing of party leaders and stakeholders.
