Gospel Music Icon, Evangelist (Dr) Bola Are has described the ongoing Ramadan and the Easter celebration which came to an end on Sunday a as sign of grace and love from God on Nigerians, urging Christians and Muslims to seize the opportunity to mend their ways before God and pray for the divine healing of our our land.
Evangelist Bola Are in her Easter message to Nigerians urged Christians and Muslims to seek God and do away with their sinful ways, saying, essence of Easter celebration and Ramadan is seek total repentance from our sinful ways and turn to God.
The evergreen singer who decried the high spate of Kidnapping, ritual killings and other terrible criminal activities in the country called on government at all levels including members of National Assembly to take drastic steps to address these catalogue of problems confronting the nation.
“Criminal activities have now become the order of the day in Nigeria, even young people of little ages are now doing rituals, incessant killings, kidnapping are so also on the increase, I urge Christians and Muslims to use the occasion of the lent and Ramadan fast to pray and seek the face of God so that the Country will not be plunged into serious chaos.”.
“I read in a national daily recently how a boy of 14 years went so seek ritual help to be rich, the boy died after consuming the ritual concoction prepared for him to make the wealth, what a very terrible situation in Nigeria.
Government need to act very swiftly to salvage the country before things get out of hands.’
The Ibadan based delectable gospel singer warned government at all levels of the imminent danger lurking ahead if they fail to take necessary steps to curb the menace and insurgency ravaging the nation day and night.
Evangelist Are described the dastard bombing of a train plying Kaduna and Abuja root recently and the high spate of insurgency in the country as a bad omen for the nation, calling on Christians and Muslims to cry on to God for salvation and total redemption.
Reacting to the death of versatile gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, a lead singer at Dunamis International Gospel Centre Abuja, Evangelist Are described the development as barbaric and terrible.
She described the late singer as a child of God who sang under heavy anointing and inspiration of God.
“The report we had was that she died of domestic abuse. I marveled at the dastard act of her husband who was reportedly behind the sad occurrence.”
“Her death is a huge loss to the entire gospel music industry. The industry has lost a gem, and a gold, a vacuum which will be difficult to fill.
“I sympathise with the entire family of the late singer, and I pray God will grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
“I remember how she came to honour me when she learnt I was in Abuja to minister in song, she was a humble and respectful woman.”
Evangelist Bola Are called on government, Human Right Activists and the entire women fold to rise to the occasion in order to serve justice on the issue.
Evangelist Are while admonishing women to speak out or run for help when ever they begin to witness violence in their marriage, charged pastors who encourage women to bear such development, cautioned them saying many women had died in the process of being patient.
