BREAKING: 4 dead, 6 vechicles burnt in Ogun gas explosion

Four persons have died in a gas explosion at Ita Oshin area of Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Also, six vechicles were burnt to ashes as residents scampered for safety .

The explosion was believed to have been triggered by an accident involving a gas tanker.

An eyewitness said a vehicle manovered along the road railings, leading to a catastrophic chain of events.

It was gathered that emergency response teams, including personnel from the Federal Road Safety Corps, swiftly mobilised to the scene to evacuate the remains of the victims and contain the inferno.

Among the vehicles consumed by the blaze were taxis, a private car, and a truck, with the impact extending to nearby shops and houses.

Security and safety officials were yet to provide a comprehensive statement regarding the incident.

Some casualties had already been rushed to the hospital by earlier response team.
