BREAKING: ASUU extends strike by 12 weeks
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has extended its ongoing industrial action by 12 weeks.
ASUU National Chairman, Prof Emmanuel Osodeke disclosed this in a statement he signed on Monday.
He said the decision was taken after ASUU’s National Executive Council meeting which started on Sunday night at the Comrade Festus Iyayi National Secretariat, University of Abuja.
According to him, the union took the decision to give the government time to resolve all outstanding issues.
