BREAKING: At N36.6trn, Access Holdings becomes largest financial institution by total assets

Access Holdings Plc on Saturday announced N36.6 trillion to become largest financial institution in total assets operating in Nigeria as of June 30, 2023.

The reported N36.6 trillion total assets, is about 37per cent increase from N26.69 trillion total assets declared in 2023 full financial year.

The Group in its audited result and accounts for H1 2024 posted on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) revealed a significant contribution of deposits from customers and loans and advances to customers in the period under review.

Access Holdings declared N10.84 trillion loans and advances to customers as of June 2024, about 34.8 per cent increase from N8.04 trillion reported in 2023 FY, while deposits from customers stood at N20.3 trillion as of June 2024, a growth of 31.26 per cent from N15.3 trillion reported in 2023FY.

The result and accounts showed that the group reported N348.9 billion profit before tax in H1 2024, an increase of 108.2 per cent from N167.6 billion reported in H1 2023, while profit after tax stood at N281.33 billion in H1 2024, about 107.7 per cent growth from N135.44 billion reported in H1 2023.

The significant increase in profit led the management to declared N0.45 interim dividend for every ordinary share of 50 kobo payable on October 17, 2024.
