BREAKING: Buhari’s powerful nephew, Tunde Sabi’u, packs out of Aso Rock

…sources say he is headed for London

A powerful aide of President Muhammadu Buhari, Sabi’u Tunde, has begun moving his personal belongings out of the State House, Abuja

Tunde, a Personal Assistant to Buhari and his nephew, was taking some of his things out of the Villa early Tuesday morning.

Named after late General Tunde Idiagbon, the second-in-command to Muhammadu Buhari as military leader, Sabi’u is reported to be an influential aide that is feared and courted at the same time by many people, especially politicians and top government officials because of his unfettered access to President Buhari.

He is known to be courted particularly by powerful business men and women, senior officials of government and top politicians in the ruling All Progressives Congress for favours.

While Tunde is known to have influenced many appointments and special privileges for people across the country, there had been reported altercations and bad blood between him and First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari.

Aisha Buhari, according to sources, does not get along with Tunde Sabi’u because of his overbearing attitude and how he peddles influence in the Villa which is often at cross purposes with the interest of the First Lady.

Part of Tunde’s many sins against Mrs. Buhari is his reported alignment with late Chief Of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, and Mallam Mamman Daura, the powerful octogenarian nephew of the President who has been accused of being the head of Aso Rock cabal in constant battle with the wife of the President.
