BREAKING: Edo APC Guber candidate, Senator Okpebholo injured, policeman killed in violent attack

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo has been injured after a thug attack.

The APC candidate has been reportedly admitted to an undisclosed hospital following the attack on his convoy by suspected political thugs in Benin City.

Godswill Inegbe, Legislative Aide to Okpebholo, in charge of Media & Communication, stated this in a statement on Thursday evening.

A policeman in Okpebholo’s convoy was reportedly murdered in the attack, while two others sustained injuries.

Inegbe said the policeman was killed by suspected political thugs who invaded the Benin Airport when the impeached deputy governor, Philip Shaibu, and the APC governorship candidate arrived from Abuja.
