BREAKING: Ekiti ADC secretary resigns

The Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ekiti State, Chief Segun Akinwumi, has resigned.
Akinwumi announced this development in a letter addressed to the state chairman of the party, citing personal reasons for his decision.
In the resignation letter, which surfaced on Sunday, the party chieftain appreciated the opportunity given to him to serve in the capacity of secretary to the party.
He expressed gratitude to the leadership of the party for the confidence and trust reposed in him during his tenure.
Akinwumi noted that his decision takes immediate effect, while wishing the party success in its future engagements.
He also indicated his willingness to serve again if called upon in the future.
The former secretary urged party members to remain united and work towards the victory of the party’s candidate in the forthcoming governorship election.
