BREAKING: Fire guts Apongbon market on Lagos Island (VIDEO)
A fire outbreak has been reported at the popular Apongbon Market on Lagos Island in the early hours of Wednesday.
It was gathered that makeshift shops under the bridge caught fire around 2 am.
An eyewitness who reported the news on Twitter, Hotboy (@BamBam_Hotboy) said: “It was serious that firefighter couldn’t control it earlier. I just keep on imagine the life and prosperity that would have gone now.”
WesternPost learnt that the fire has caused serious traffic on Eko Bridge inwards Apogbon. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
The cause of the fire has not been known as at the time of filing this report
