BREAKING: Labour Party suspends Salvador, Salako, Okunola, others in Lagos over alleged anti-party activities

The Lagos State chapter of the Labour Party (LP)) after evaluating what played out during 2023 general election, has suspended no fewer than six chieftains, including a former governorship aspirant, Moshood Salvador, for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities in the state.

Other members suspended are a former state chairman, Olukayode Salako, Opeyemi Taiwo, Olumide Adesoyin, House of Representatives candidate for Ikeja, Mutiu Okunola, and Theodore Ezeunara.

WesternPost learnt that the suspended members were linked to the endorsement of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for gubernatorial election, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and other opposition flagbearers vying for elective seats during the poll.

Following their actions, the party’s State Working Committee, was said to have decided that the penalty in section 19 of its constitution be slammed on them, to serve as deterrent to other members

The Lagos chapter of the party also declared its support for the embattled National Chairman, Julius Abure, who was suspended over sundry allegations.
