BREAKING: Male body recovered from Lagos Lagoon

After an intense two-day search and rescue mission, authorities have retrieved the body of a male passenger who tragically drowned following an auto crash on Lagos State’s Third Mainland Bridge.
The fatal incident occurred during Eid celebrations, when a 20-seater bus veered off the bridge, resulting in two individuals, a male and a female, plunging into the lagoon below.
While the male victim’s body was recovered on Friday around 3 p.m., efforts are ongoing to locate the female passenger.
Ibrahim Farinloye, Southwest Coordinator for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), confirmed the developments in a statement to the press, commending the diligent efforts of the Marine Police in swiftly responding to the accident and initiating recovery operations.
