BREAKING: Modu Sheriff withdraws from APC national chairmanship race
Former Governor of Borno State, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, has stepped down his ambition to become the next National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.
He made the announcement this afternoon at a press conference in Abuja where he said he will no longer continue with his ambition because the party has zoned the position to the North Central which automatically disqualifies him.
The former governor is from the North East. He served briefly as National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party after he defected from APC.
APC is expected to elected new members of the National Working Committee (NWC) at the National Convention coming up on March 26th, 2022 in Abuja.
