BREAKING: Nollywood comedian Okemesi dies after health complications

Nollywood comedian and content creator Bamidele Oluwatope Saint, popularly known as Okemesi, has died. His colleague, Jeff Owolewa, also known as Tony Montana, confirmed that the actor was pronounced dead at about 11:50 a.m. on Tuesday, and his remains have since been deposited in a morgue.

Okemesi had reportedly been battling health complications in recent weeks. Earlier reports indicated that he fell into a coma following complications linked to medication he received during treatment at a private hospital.

Before his health deteriorated, the actor had appealed for financial assistance and support to secure accommodation. Well-wishers later helped him obtain a new apartment, only days before his condition worsened.

Efforts were made to transfer him to other medical facilities, including a government hospital in Igodo, but admission proved difficult due to limited space.

Okemesi’s passing has prompted condolences from colleagues and fans across the Nigerian entertainment industry.
