BREAKING: Owa Obokun of Ijesaland is dead
The Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, has passed away.
Sources in the palace, said Oba Aromolaran passed away on Wednesday after a brief illness.
The palace of the monarch is yet to release any official statement, but sources within confirmed the death.
“Baba has passed, but we are waiting for official announcement from the palace.
“You can see that they have started performing some traditional rites. This has to be done before any announcement can be made, she added.
According to CityMirrorNews reporter, who visited the palace, the presence of security personnel was observed around the palace.
The reporter observed traditional rites already being performed, following the demise of the king.
The Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Chief Yinka Fasuyi, on Thursday in Osogbo, confirmed the passage of the monarch.
Oba Aromolaran’s death brings to an end his reign, spanning over 40 years on the throne.
