BREAKING: Oyo Chief Imam performs funeral prayers on Alaafin’s remains
The Chief Imam of Oyo town, Sheikh Mos’ud Ajokidero, has performed funeral rites on the remains of late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III.
Oba Adeyemi III died after a brief illness at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti on Friday.
The Chief Imam was joined by other Islamic clerics in Oyo and its nearby towns.
Present at the prayers which was held at the Aganju forecourt were the late king’s children, Babatunde, Skimeh, Bayo Adeyemi, Taibah Adeyemi-Agaba and others.
The prayer began some minutes past noon.
