BREAKING: OYSG postpones JPE, BECE exams over Oro festival
The Oyo State Government has rescheduled the SSS 1 and SSS 2 Joint Promotion Examination (JPE) and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) slated for wednesday 31st, July, 2024.
In a viral letter issued by the State’s Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and signed on behalf of the Commissioner by the Registrar Examination, Awodeji J.O, the State Government said the slated examination date coincide with Oro Cultural Festival in Oyo town.
” I am directed to refer to the above subject and state that the examination date for SSS 1 and SSS 2 Joint Promotion Examination (JPE) and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) slated for Wednesday 31st july, 2024 coincide with Oro Cultural festival in Oyo town which restricts females from going out on the day and this affects all female students who are to participate in the said examinations.
“In view of this observation, all the affected examinations slated for Wednesday 31st, July ,2024, had been rescheduled to other days. Please find herewith attached copy of the rescheduled examinations timetable for strict compliance “, the letter read.
