PDP plans presidential primary election for April 30

The People’s Democratic Party has fixed its primary election to pick its presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections for April 30.

This was contained in its schedule of activities and timetable for 2023 general elections which was seen by Western Post.

Though not released officially, the PDP is expected to ratify the timetable at its National Executive Committee meeting on Monday in Abuja.

The timetable which was signed by PDP National Organising Secretary, Hon. Umar Bature, detailed activities starting with “Memos to NEC for time-table, guidelines and setting up congresses and convention committees and to convene special national convention” which is scheduled for Monday, March 7, 2022 to the 2023 governorship elections, slated for March 11, 2023.

The PDP also fixed governorship primaries across the federation for Thursday, April 28, while Senate and House of Representatives primaries are to hold Monday, April 25 and Friday, April 22 respectively.

The party is also fixed Monday, April 18, 2022 for election of candidates for states houses of assembly.
