BREAKING: Petrol tanker collides with car on Costain bridge
A tanker loaded with petrol has collided with a Toyota Saloon car while ascending the Costain Bridge on Funsho Williams Avenue, Surulere, Lagos.
The accident occurred at about 2pm.
As at the time of filing this report, no casualty was recorded as officials of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service were already at the accident spot.
Director of State’s Fire Service, Mrs Margaret Adeseye, assured of public safety, urging residents to do away with combustible materials within the vicinity to averting a secondary incident.
“An Accident involving a PMS loaded tanker reported at 14:00hrs while ascending the Costain Bridge inward Iponri, Funsho Williams Avenue, Surulere, Lagos.
“Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is already on ground mitigating the situation whilst assuring Public Safety and counting on the public supports to do away with combustible materials within the vicinity in averting a secondary incident,” said Adeseye.
