BREAKING: Police teargas disable athletes in Lagos

Men of the Lagos State Police Command have reportedly teargassed some disabled athletes who thronged Funsho Williams Avenue in Surulere, Lagos, to protest against the government over unpaid salaries.

WesternPost gathered that the police also manhandled some of the protesters when they got to the protest scene.

Some of the actions were captured by twitter users.

According to eye witness, the protest was peaceful until policemen reacted with show of force which was described as unnecessary.
