BREAKING: Popular kannywood actress, Daso dies

Kannywood actress, Saratu Gidado, also known as Daso, has passed away at the age of 56.

Her family confirmed the tragic news to Freedom Radio on Tuesday, revealing that she was found deceased in the morning.

According to reports, Saratu did not wake up on Tuesday morning after having the pre-dawn meal before starting the day’s Ramadan fast, Sahur.

Colleagues such as Ali Nuhu and Uzee Usman have expressed their shock and sorrow at her sudden demise.

Daso, born on January 17, 1968, in Kano, gained fame for her comedic portrayals of assertive and mischievous characters.

Her acting career began in 2000 with her debut in the movie “Linzami Da Wuta,” produced by Sarauniya Movies.
