BREAKING: Sanwo-Olu signs Lagos 2025 budget

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Thursday signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill, with a budget estimate of N3.366 trillion, into law.

Sanwo-Olu gave his assent to the Appropriation Bill, tagged the “Budget of Sustainability,” at the State House in Alausa, Ikeja.

The event was attended by Deputy Governor Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat; the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa (represented by the House Committee Chairman on Economic, Budget, and Planning, Hon. Sa’ad Olumoh); members of the State Executive Council (SEC), and other dignitaries.

The Lagos State House of Assembly passed the Appropriation Bill on January 6, 2025, following its presentation by Governor Sanwo-Olu on November 21, 2024, to the 40-member parliament.

The “Budget of Sustainability” focuses on addressing infrastructure, economic diversification, and other critical sectors in the state.
