Tension in Lagos as MC Oluomo’s boys, TOOAN members clash over control of tricycle park

There was pandemonium in the early hours of Monday at Iju-Ishaga and Fagba areas of Lagos State as thugs of the sacked former Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), clashed with members of the Tricycle Owners and Operators Association of Nigeria (TOOAN) over attempt to control tricycle parks.
The Lagos State chapter of TOOAN), is known to be controlled by Alhaji Azeez Abiola (Istijabah) who is the state chairman.
WesternPost gathered that MC Oluomo’s boys stormed the parks to stop the sale of tickets to Tricycle riders by TOOAN members and that this led to fiasco in the areas.

It was gathered that residents fled the area as thugs with guns and machetes went on rampage, attacking innocent passersby.
As at the time of filing this report, no casualty has been recorded.
WesternPost had reported that TOOAN raised the alarm over plans by MC Oluomo to cause mayhem in Alimosho, Ifako-Ijaye and other parts of the state today (Monday), in a bid to forcefully take over parks in the areas.
In a petition sighted by WesternPost, the tricycle operators said that one of such moves was when MC Oluomo at the weekend paid a courtesy visit to the palace of Oba Rilwan Oluwalambe, Oba of Ojokoro land in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, with some suspected cultists to take over parks and garages in the area and threatening to take over Ojokoro by all means.
The association accused MC Oluomo of visiting other areas in Alimosho and other parts of the state to prepare his boys for the mayhem on Monday.
