BREAKING: Tinubu flags off Conditional Cash Transfer for 15 million households

President Bola Tinubu has officially flagged off the World Bank assisted Federal Government’s Conditional Cash Transfer Programme on Tuesday.

The flagging off was conducted at the presidential villa in Abuja.

The President said the CCT programme which is part of the Federal Government’s Social Investment Programmes, (SIP’s) is designed to serve 15 million households which would be targeted at uplifting poor and vulnerable Nigerians.

He also stated that the relaunching of the programme is a seven-year roadmap for poverty alleviation in Nigeria.

The president said the efforts are part of his Renewed Hope Agenda for humanitarian response and poverty alleviation.

“I hereby flag-off the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer programme for 15 million households targeted at uplifting poor and vulnerable Nigerians,” the president said.
