BREAKING: Unclaimed dividend Nigeria’s capital market rises to N215bn, says DG SEC
The Director General, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Dr. Dr Emomotimi Agama has revealed that total unclaimed dividend in Nigerian’s capital market increased to N215 billion as of March 2024, stressing on the Commission is collaborating with stakeholders to reduce the volume of unclaimed dividends in Nigeria.
Agama, speaking post-Capital Market Committee (CMC) meeting in Lagos on Thursday expressed the determination of the Commission to continue to encourage companies to list and urged the Exchanges to take steps to attract new listings to align with the government’s $1 trillion economy target.
