Bridge collapses, cut off Kwara community after downpour

Residents of Malate, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State have been cut off from other communities, following a downpour, which collapsed a link bridge in the area.
The downpour started around 10 pm on Tuesday and stopped at about 5 am on Wednesday.
The collapsed bridge connects the Shao community to Malate via the Jebba/Bida Expressway.
It was gathered that residents have been left stranded as they could not navigate their ways across the collapsed bridge, even with legs.
The residents who were devastated by the development called on the state government to swiftly come to their aid by reconstructing the bridge for them to resume their day-to-day activities.
